Green Friday Tip-Eco Friendly Entertaining
May 7, 2010
Tip for the day: A few suggestions on how to turn a dinner into an eco-friendly event:
- Never use paper napkins, cups or plastic cutlery, as the environment does not like it.
- Only burn 100 percent beeswax or soy candles that do not contain lead.
- Make a fresh room spray by purchasing a small spray bottle and filling it with water. Add a few drops of lavender and geranium oils.
- Try to refrain from surving beef, as it is the least sustainable food available. If you serve fish, make sure that it is not on the endagered list.
- There are all types of really yummy vegetarian dishes that you can serve your guests.
- If you are looking for some new plates, glasses, or vases to spruce up your table, go to Viva Terra (www.vivaterra.com). It carries the most beautiful recycled glass, wine carafes, and unusual vases.
